Why Abunch exists
Many people keep going back to the same sites in their browser, anywhere from a few to dozens. Some they open every hour, some once a day, others once a month.
But the new tab holds only a handful of shortcuts, the bookmarks bar runs out of room, and the rest get typed from memory or looked up again.
So we built the desktop we wanted. It's stable and simple, with no clutter, and it's meant to still feel calm after years of use. Before it became a product, we used it every day as a prototype for more than a year.
What we believe
New sites keep appearing, and your interests move on and circle back. The sites you keep change with them, and many are hard to let go of. Like the books on your shelf, they need a place where they stay organized and within reach.
We want Abunch to be quiet and useful. Products can look alike on the surface. The difference is in the parts you don't see. The first page you open should load fast and get in the way as little as possible. That takes a stubborn focus on the features you actually need, each one as easy to use as we can make it.
Your links can matter a lot. At the very least, you'd miss them if they were gone. We run Abunch to look after them as reliably as we can. And whether a link was made in Abunch or brought in from somewhere else, you can export it to a file and keep it yourself, on every plan, including the free one.
How we build it
We draw on decades of experience designing and building online services. Software gets built faster every year. What matters most to us is that Abunch keeps running reliably for years. So we check each step as we go, from planning through testing to going live.
